Obituary for Ralph Pyle
Ralph Robert Pyle, son of George Luther and Mary Jane Small Pyle,was born on Sunday, May 18, 1896. He died Sunday, May 27, 1984, being at the time of his death 88 years and 9 days old.
He was married to Norma Griffin on November 29, 1916 at Greenfield, Missouri. To this union was born one son, Ralph Loren on May 4, 1918.
Ralph and Norma lived on a farm near Cane Hill, Missouri following their marriage. Later in 1921 they moved to Tulare County, California. In December, 1931 they returned to Missouri, where they continued farming near Cane Hill.
On October 6, 1980, Norma passed away in their home. They had enjoyed 64 happy years together. Although Ralph continued to live on the farm they both loved, life was never the same.
In addition to his beloved companion, Norma, he was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Charlie and a sister Gertie Rutledge.
Survivors include the son Loren and his wife Lorene of Greenfield, three brothers, Virgil of Cane Hill, Clyde of Stockton, Missouri and Howard of Jasper, Missouri. Four grandchildren, Mary Rush of Phoenix, Arizona, Patricia Watson of Branson, Missouri, James Pyle of Austin, Texas and Robert Pyle of Golden City, Missouri and 11 grandchildren.
He was dearly loved by his grandchildren as well as their husbands and wives and great grandchildren. Besides the above mentioned, he leaves a host of other relatives, friends and neighbors who mourn his passing.
Harold Griffin of Ft. Scott, Kansas officiated at the services. Roy Lee Pyle was soloist. Burial was in the Stockton Cemetery.
