Mainard W. Beckham was born July 24, 1908 in Oklahoma, son of Linwood Beckham (1871-1930) and Sadie May Queen (1887-1970).

The 1930 Federal Census for Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (Oklahoma County) shows Mainard W. Beckham, a plumber, age 22, born in Oklahoma; living with his father, Linwood Beckham, a plumber, age 59, born in Kentucky; and his mother, Sadie M., age 44, born in Texas. The census shows that Linwood and Sadie were ages 34 and 18, respectively, when they married. Also living in the household were Mainard's siblings: Iva M. Beckham, age 18; and Jack Beckham, age 17; both born in Oklahoma.

Mainard W. Beckham, age 76, of Oklahoma City, died suddenly Tuesday, April 16, 1985, at his home. Graduated from Central High School. He was a plumbing contractor for over 30 years, having owned the Independent Plumbing Company. He was interested in antique cars.

Survived by his wife, Emma; a nephew, Tom Ray and a host of friends. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in the Smith and Kernke Chapel, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
