William G. Doran
William G. "Bill" Doran, 75, of Camden, Ohio died Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at his residence.
Born on May 4, 1931 in Dixon Township, Preble County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Kelly Isaac and Ethel L. (Hensley) Doran. He was a 1950 graduate of Dixon High School and a veteran of the U.S. Marines having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a farmer from 1955 to 1973, having farmed in Union County, Ind. and Preble County. From 1972-2006 he was the owner and operator of the Depot Dairy Bar and Restaurant in Camden.
Mr. Doran was a member of the Camden Village Council, the Preble County Pork Festival Committee and the Preble County Zoning Board. He was an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister, and his sister, Evelyn Richardson.
Survivors include his wife Sondra G. (Crawford) Doran whom he married on Nov. 16, 1982 at the West Elkton Friends Church; sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas W. and Marsha Doran of Eaton, Ohio, and Kelly and Kris Doran of Camden; grandchildren, Joshua Doran of Middletown, Ohio, Trisha Doran of Eaton, and Chad and Brenna Doran of Camden; brothers and sister-in-law, Russell Doran of Peebles, Ohio, and Ronald and Rosalie Doran of Eaton; sisters and brother-in-law, Thelma Bolinger, Cledith Bresher, and Phyllis and Floyd Smith, all of Eaton.
Also surviving arestep-children: John E. and Debbie Coleman of Camden, Chris Ann and Don Smith of Louisville, Ky. and James M. and Michelle Coleman of Middletown; step-grandchildren, Angela (Chris) Fuchs, John M. (Tala) Coleman, Joseph Coleman, all of Camden, Jacob Coleman of Middletown Kelli Coleman of Camden, Zayne Snyder of Middletown, Matthew and Erik K. Smith of Louisville, Ky.; step-great-grandchildren, Brandon and Breanna Fuchs of Camden; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were Saturday, May 20, at The First Southern Baptist Church in Camden with the Rev. Greg Jackson officiating. Burial with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard was in Fairmount Cemetery in Camden.
Nein-Barnes Funeral Home in Camden was in charge of arrangements.
