New York City Mayor. He served as Mayor of New York City, New York, from 1914 to 1917, being elected at age 34 (to date the youngest man to ever be elected to that office). After leaving office he joined the United States Army Air Corps in World War I, and died in a training accident in Louisiana in July 1918.
