Bobby attended St Paul's Grammer School and graduated from St Peter's High School with the Class of 1964.He always wanted to be a Marine.He had his high school graduation party at the Local Marine Post.

He arrived in Vietnam 20 April 1967,and was assigned to Hotel Battery ,3rd Battalion,12th Marine Regiment,3rd Marine Division.He was killed while in combat by an explosive device duirng Operation King Fisher,Con Thien-Camo Lo Road,North of Strongpoint C-2,Qunag Tri Province.He served his country for one year.He was single.
