Paul was born in Philadelphia.Later his parents
moved to Folcroft,PA,where Paul played base-
ball and graduated from Bonner High School.
He enlisted in the Marines 20 September 1968,
at the Philadelphia Recruiting Office.
Paul arrived in Vietnam 23 March 1969,where
he was assigned to the Weapons Platoon,Echo
Company,2nd Battalion,3rd Marine Regiment,
3rd Marine Division.
Paul had been slightly wounded by mortar fire
shrapnel 30 March 1969 but didn't require a
At approximately 0300H,Echo Company was
engaged by enemy forces,5 kilometers west of
Khe Sanh Airfield,near the Laotian border.
During the firefight Paul was hit by shrapnel
from an enemy grenade.He was medevac and
died at 1255H of his wounds,as a result of
fragmentation wounds to the head and body,
aboard the USNH USS Sanctuary.
Paul was single and served his country for 7
months.KIA#40,523.He had been in Vietnam
for 26 days.
Paul was 18 years,4 months and 24 days old.
