JOHN C. BLOMEKE DIES SUDDENLY; WAS 58 YRS. OLD

The death of John C. Blomeke, 58, a well known Keyser township farmer living three miles west of Garrett, took place Tuesday morning at 6:50 o'clock at the Sacred Heart hospital in Garrett.

Mr. Blomeke became ill about Nov. 1 with ulcers of the stomach and was taken to the hospital Dec. 19. He seemed to be improving when he became very ill Tuesday morning and expired within twenty minutes. Pulmonary embolism was given as the cause.

Mr. Blomeke was born near Edgerton, O., Oct. 21, 1885, and he and Florence Karst of Huntington were married Sept. 25, 1912. The family lived for many years in Smithfield township, DeKalb county, and moved to the Keyser township farm eight years ago.

Surviving are the widow, three children, Cornelius Blomeke, at home, Mrs. Joseph Demske of near Churubusco, and Mrs. Roy Yingling of 117 South Ijams street, Garrett; two brothers, Frank Blomeke of three miles northeast of Auburn, and Anthony Blomeke of Waterloo; and three sisters, Mrs. Michael Ellert and Mrs. Frank C. Miller of Smithfield township, and Mrs. Anthony Ellert of Franklin township; and three grandchildren.

Mr. Blomeke was a member of the Catholic church.

The funeral will be held at the church Friday at 9 a. m., Rt. Rev. Msgr. J. G. Bennett officiating, and interment will be made in Calvary.

The body was taken home Wednesday from the Forrest D. Zimmerman funeral home.
