Doris M. "Dotsie" Keegan, of North Scranton, died Thursday evening at home. She was the widow of Robert F. Keegan, who died Feb. 25, 1969.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Myles and Nora Doyle Boyd, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School, class of 1938. She was employed by the state unemployment office for a number of years and also worked as a secretary at Holy Rosary Church rectory, Scranton, and the Maryknoll Fathers, Clarks Green. Before retirement, she was employed by the Scranton Sewer Authority as chief cashier. She was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Church and a member of its Women's Society and the Providence Senior Citizens.She died Thursday evening at home surrounded by her family. She lived life to the fullest, enjoying dancing, trips to Atlantic City and summers at Lake Winola. Her family was the center of her life and she would say that her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the reason she opened her eyes each day.Surviving are a son, Robert and wife, Chris; two daughters, Judy Hughes; and Nancy Davis and husband, Tom, all of Scranton; six grandchildren, Robert and Michael Keegan, Philip Hughes, Tom and Lynn Davis and Katie Prislupski; three great-grandchildren, Mara and Keegan Hughes and Ronnie Prislupski; a sister, Catherine Saltry; a brother, Myles Boyd, Scranton; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Anna Peuser, Agnes Marsh, Peggy Burns and Sister Myles M. Boyd, I.H.M., and a brother, Joseph Boyd.The funeral will be Tuesday from the Edward Knight O'Donnell Funeral Home, 323 William St., with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery. Friends attending the funeral are asked to go directly the church.Friends may call Monday, 5 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice, 746 Jefferson Ave., 18510, in appreciation for its compassionate care.
