Leslie T. Speaks, 55, of S. 27th St., Harrisburg, peacefully transitioned into eternal life on Friday, March 19, 2010 in the peace and love of his home.
He was born in Harrisburg, son of the late Theresa Speaks and Neil C. Bruton, Sr.
"Butch" was a U. S. Marine Corps Veteran, retired from PA State Civil Service Commission, and in his leisure, loved watching the Animal Channel and was an avid sports' fan, who loved the Steelers, 76ers and Penn State.
He leaves to celebrate his life, his devoted wife, Eva J. Speaks; his son, Jamar Speaks; his uncle, Marvin Speaks; his aunts, Mary Diggs, Yvonne Whitaker and Patricia Speaks; his brothers, Neil C., Jr. and Lawrence Bruton; his sisters, Rosa Doctor, Paula A. Bruton-Rogers, Renee Price, Cassandra and Doris Jean Bruton, all of Harrisburg; his four grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
"Butch's" life will be celebrated on Friday, March 26th at 12 Noon in the Chapel of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton, with viewing 11 am until Noon and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery.
