Of Joy, Succumbs
Wm. J. (Jap) Clure, 50, farmer, resident of Joy community for 25 years, died at noon yesterday at University hospital in Oklahoma City. Prostatitis was given as the cause of his death. He had been in the hospital several weeks.
Survivors are his wife, two sons, four daughters, his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Clure; grandmother, Mrs. Malinda Clay, age 99 years; one brother, J. A. Clure, teacher at Joy; and four sisters, Mrs. Ed Ketner, Mrs. Flora Black, Mrs. Lucy Calger and Mrs. Bird Sims.
Funeral was held at the Baptist church in Davis at 4 p.m. today, followed by burial in Green Hill cemetery.
