Mary was granted a teacher's certificate and was a teacher in one of the mountain towns. She met Joseph Collie there. After his death she kept the hotel at Wall Street for 10 years. She and her children moved to Boulder in 1898. She was active in the Congregational Church. Her death 'ended a career which has been notable for kind deeds and many acts of useful and Christian service.' Two children survive - Ned Collie of Shawmut mine 180 miles from San Francisco, and Miss Charlotte Collie who came last week from Idaho Springs where she is a high school teacher. She is a CU graduate. Funeral at Congregational Church.
