Willie Floy McCormick, 83, formerly of Blytheville, passed from this life on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at the Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
Born in Blytheville, Arkansas to James Marshal Aycock and Effie Lillian Martin Aycock, she was a Procurement Officer for the United States Air Force and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mrs. McCormick spent time helping the soldiers at the end of the Vietnam War by helping close out the military base. She also loved to read and make elegant sequined tablecloths. Mrs. McCormick was also a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was there for all her family, no matter what the need.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lafayette "Neal" McCormick.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Sue (Susie) Richardson and husband Gary of Las Vegas, NV; grandaughter, Dawn Martindale and husband Ken of San Antonio, TX; and great-grandchildren, Tyler and Megan Otts.
Graveside services will be July, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery. Cobb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
