S/O William Jason Meadows and Mary Polly Armstrong
Samuel was first married to Isabell(a) Jane Lilly - 1828 - 1858(DOD just found on LDS site). Maybe yes or maybe no to that. Samuel and Isabella had two children - Nancy Albertine Meadows and William C. Meadows. Isabella's burial place is unknown.
Samuel was married second to Laura A. Poff (Peff) Tucker who was born about 1832 in Washington County, Virginia. Possibly first married to Tucker who died during the Civil War. Not documented. Samuel and Laura had seven children - Nelson Plesant Meadows, Mary R. Meadows, Hiram Meadows, Henry Lee Meadows, Samuel B. Meadows, John C. Meadows and Martha H. Meadows. Laura's burial place is unknown.
Samuel married a third time to Susan Elizabeth Gravely Cook. Susan and William Riley Cook divorced and she then married Samuel and they had four children - Charley Quincy Meadows, Moody Meadows, Victoria Ellen Meadows and Aladora "Allie" Meadows. Susan was born in Henry County, Virginia about 1859 and died at Barn, West Virginia in 1923. Her death certificate states burial was at Barn but as yet undetermined place.
