Enlisted in Army Air Corps on Sept. 23, 1941 as a Cadet.
Sept. 1942 -- 1st Lt. & Naval Instructor at Selman Field, Louisiana.
Member of 757th Bomb Squadron in Italy.
Received Air Medal, May 1944, Navigator: Liberator Bomber, 15th A.A.F.

Completed 45 flying missions in World War II.
Received Distinguished Flying Cross.
Plane hit by anti-aircraft and exploded in air in Romania.
Purple Heart & Presidential Citation awarded.
