6 year old Shianna passed peacefully, in the arms of her mother, Shelly, 2 months after being hit by a car as she crossed the street, holding her 4 year old sister, Shayla's hand. Sadly, Shayla died the day she was struck.
Shianna was very caring, sensitive and thoughtful and she loved to draw and play with Shayla. She loved macaroni and cheese and Spongebob. The 2 sister's were very close.
The girls' mother Shelly, remains completely devoted to the memory of her 2 beautiful daughters.
Please visit Shianna's sister Shayla's page.
Shianna and Shayla were struck by a 56 year old man who was under the influence of marijuana and who is an habitual offender. Regardless of his lengthy record, this man served less than 10 days for his crime. This family has been failed by the Indiana judicial system in the most profound way.
If you're a resident of Indiana, PLEASE take a few minutes to write to your politicians to let them know that this kind of thing is unacceptable and that they need to enact much, much tougher punishments for these offenders. This CANNOT be allowed to continue.
