DUBOIS MAN DIES IN AREA
Henry Rasmussen, Sr., 82, retired Dubois livestock worker, died at a Rexburg hospital Thursday morning. He had been ill several months and hospitalized the past six days.
He was born at Manhattan, Kan., June 18, 1876, a son of Louis and Sophia Halligan Rasmussen. When he was 16 his parents moved to Cheyenne, Wyo. He worked with sheep in various parts of Wyoming, then in 1901 he came to Dubois.
Sept. 12, 1902, he married Miss Agnes Buhl of Soda Springs in Pocatello. They have lived in Dubois since that time. He worked at the U.S. Sheep Experiment Station in Dubois, then was retired in 1941.
He was a member of the Catholic Church and the Modern Woodmen of America.
Surviving besides his widow are sons and daughters, Mrs. Vern (Adelaide) Folkman of Ogden, Utah; Mrs. Leona Gordon of Stevensville, Mont.; Henry Rasmussen Jr. of Dubois; Mrs. T. E. (Gertrude) McBroom of Cottage Grove, Ore.; Mrs. Levant (Mary) Doschades of Dubois; Mrs. Robert (Eileen) Stover of Twin Falls. One daughter and a son preceded him in death.
Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren and one brother, Louis Rasmussen of Seattle, Wash.
Funeral services will be announced later by the Buck Funeral Home.
