Edward's mother was Gertrude M. Willis MaxMeyer, born England 1858; immigrated 1890, naturalized 1895.
HEATH FAMILY LEGEND:
Edward's father was Richard MaxMeyer an Oregon-Washington painter-photographer-educator, (http://www.askart.com/askart/m/louis_richard_max_meyer/louis_richard_max_meyer.aspx) born in Berlin Germany per the 1920 Clackamas OR census but his name is not included with Gertrude and children on the census.
In 1920 Ed was 27yo, single and living with or supporting his mother. In the 1930 Oregon census the family last name is misspelled "Moxmeyer"; Edward was 37 and married, and his age at first marriage=28 (abt 1921.)
Gertrude M mothered a daughter named Geraldine (age 20 per 1900 oregon census) who married Clive W Barnes. Geraldine M MaxMeyer, age 72, lived with the C.W.Barnes' in Portland OR per 1930 census. Geraldine and Clive and mother-in-law Gertrude expired in Oregon.
At some point Edward met Anna Dorothy Dahl, a 2X divorcee with two children: Dorothy Ingram and Marie Teschner. No record shows he adopted either girl, but each used his last name for some time. No record or family history states he and Anna Dorothy bore children of their own.
The MaxMeyers are living in the Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley areas of California in the 1940s. Anna Dorothy in society columns. EB figures in several news articles dealing with water supply and rock and gravel business. After abt 1946 no further info by records or family legends.
