Records for cemetery show her name as E Alph Davie.
Correction below was sent to me. Hope it helps someone. Many times women or even men were given maiden names of mothers, or grandmothers for middle name. More common practice for male children. But there has been many that have been women with those names. I have seen entire families that all the children had the middle name for the mother's surname.
I was told by a cousin of her husband that her name was "Alpha Rhodes Thayer". I suspect the spelling of Rhodes/Rhoades on the headstone is probably correct, but it sound like it might be a middle name rather than her maiden name. Her marriage to Howard Alfred Davie in the same cemetery was 5 Jul 1939 in Los Angeles. As she would be 26 at the time it is just possible that Thayer might be a first married name, although maiden name seems more likely.
