Howard M. Wilson, 85, of Sesser, died 6:50 p.m. Nov. 11, 1994 at Franklin Skilled Care Unit in Benton.
He was retired from Manteno State Hospital, where he worked as a security guard.
Mr. Wilson was born April 12, 1909, in Bonnie, a son of Otis and Lily Dora (Hayes) Wilson. On May 17, 1930, in Kankakee, he married Laura Alpha Neibel, who survives.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Hughey Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Neibel officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Wilson was a member of the Southern Baptist faith. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of American Legion Post 141 in Mt. Vernon.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Vivian Lewis and husband Kenneth of Sesser and Doris Rigby of Knoxville, Tenn.; two sons, Arthur Wilson and wife Patricia of Mt. Vernon and Eddie Wilson and wife Jane of Rootstown, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents; two grandsons; Trent Wilson and Kendall Lewis; a great-granddaughter, Rebecca Wilson; and one brother, Leslie Wilson.
