Indian Campaigns Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Private in the United States Army in Company F, 3d US Cavalry. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for action on May 5, 1871 at Whetstone Mountains, Arizona. His citation reads "Gallantry in action." (bio by: Don Morfe)
