Michael W. Benge, 49, of Hamilton, Ohio, was executed by lethal injection October 6, 2010 at 10:34 a.m. at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility near Lucasville. Benge was executed for the beating death of his girlfriend, Judith Gabbard, 38, with a tire iron, then weighting down her body with concrete and dumping it in the Miami River, January 31, 1993.
