Thomas T. Banks, 76, of Fruitland died Monday, June 27, 2011, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Salisbury, he was a son of the late Harry and Mildred Banks. He was a graduate of Mardela High School in Mardela Springs. He served in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany. He was a poultry grower, school bus contractor and farmer. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara Stevenson Banks; three daughters, Lynda Gray and her husband, Ted, of Snow Hill, Melanie Wilber and her husband, Gary, of Delmar and Marybeth Zulaica and her husband, Bryan, of Dacula, Ga.; and grandchildren, David Gray of Snow Hill, Sarah Wilber and Amy Wilber of Delmar. His body was donated to the Anatomy Board of Maryland. No formal service is planned at this time. Mr. Banks' family wishes to express their appreciation to everyone who has provided care, kindness and support. Contributions may be made in his memory to the Fruitland Fire Company, PO Box 70, Fruitland, Md. 21826.
