Allen Billiot, 58, a native of Pointe-aux-Chenes and resident of Lockport, died Thursday, May 12, 2011. A memorial visitation will be from 10 a.m. to mass time Thursday at St. Hilary Catholic Church in Mathews. A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. His body was donated to science at Tulane. He is survived by his beloved wife, Belinda Knight Billiot, two children, Wayne Bourgeois Jr. and Stacey LeBlanc and husband, Scott; eight grandchildren; two godchildren, Kelly Verdin and Laurence Billiot; three brothers, Emary Billiot and wife, Lorenza, Dave Billiot and wife, Linda, and Philip Billiot; three sisters, Jeannette Billiot and fiance, Carl Authement, Anna Lou Hernandez and husband, Jose', and Yvonne Ferguson; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Agnes Billiot; his father, Victor Billiot; two sisters, Fran McGraw and infant twin sister; one brother-in-law, Dave Ferguson; and one sister-in-law, Ann Billiot. He was a retired boat captain and tankerman. He loved shrimping, fishing, playing the lottery, cooking and spending quality time with his loving wife, children, family and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all of his family and great friends. He was a wonderful husband, dad and poppie.
