Elmer Norton, 82, Butler

Elmer Norton, 82, of Butler, Ky., passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at his home. Elmer was born in Pendleton County Kentucky on February 16, 1922. He was the son of the late Clarence and Mary Hill Norton. He received a purple heart serving for the U.S. Army in World War II, a member of the American Legion Post #109, retired from Feldman Dairy in Wilder, Ky., and he was also a Pendleton County Farmer. He married Geneva Jett Norton on March 16, 1946 and his dear wife survives his passing. He was preceded in death by his brother, Everett R. Norton and sister Ruth Fryer.
Additional survivors include: sons, Steve (Bessie) Norton, Florence, Ky., Elmer Lynn (Jackie) Norton, Falmouth, Ky., brothers, Bob Norton, Butler, Ky., William Norton, Hamilton, Ohio, six grandchildren, Gary, Vickie and Kim Norton, Amy Norton Jaskowiak, Noll Crissy Swafford, Teresa Patton, eight great-grandchildren, and special friend, Jean Chambers
Services were held on Friday, February 11, 2005 at the Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth, Ky. Pallbearers were Gary Norton, Paul Noll, Stuart Jaskowiak, Tim Norton, Scott Nordheim, Nathon Norton. Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Fetters, Chester Wiggins, Lemuel Jett, Bob Jett, Kenneth Paul, Philip Norton and Robert Campbell.
Interment took place in the Butler Cemetery.
