Henry M. Johnston Buried Thursday

Henry M. Johnston, 62 years old, a resident of this section for the past 47 years, died at his home about five miles south of Mesquite, Wednesday, Dec. 6. Mr. Johnston was born in Shelby county, Texas, but came with the family to Mesquite when he was 15, and had lived here ever since.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sadie Johnston and four children, Cleo Johnston of Brownwood; Olen Johnston of Fort Worth; Mrs. Era Bryan and Miss Melba Johnston both of Mesquite. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were held at the Bennett cemetery Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. T. M. Kirk, assisted by J.F. McCullough, the later having charge of arrangements. Interment took place at the cemetery named.

Henry Johnston was a man of many splendid qualities and had the good will of all.

Mr. Johnston was a farmer. He also served as a trustee for the Balch Springs Common School District #26 in 1910.
