They lived near Ortonville, Minnesota where they owned and operated the Rustling Elms Resort on the shore of Big Stone Lake, MN. The resort was built on land once owned by his grandparents, Emil and Alice Johnson.
Lee is buried in Mound Cemetery, Ortonville, Minnesota. They had four children: Shawinda, Ra´keeta, Jason and Laci. Jason married Tricia and lives in Grand Forks, ND
