Matthew Christian Barfuss, age 2, of Nampa, was called home to his Heavenly Father on Friday, July 18, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at the Nampa East Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3904 East Greenhurst Road, Nampa. A viewing will be held from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Arrangements are under the direction of Zeyer Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
Matthew was born December 7, 2005, in Meridian, Idaho, to Jeffrey and Lanette Barfuss. Matthew was adored by everyone who knew him and knew his friendly heart warming smile. He had a contagious zest for life that made him everyone's best buddy.
He enjoyed spending time with his family four-wheeling, motorcycling and going for walks. He loved swimming, playing with Legos and cars and being outside with his brothers and sisters. Matthew was very proper in just learning to speak - when offered vegetables at the dinner table, he politely replied, "No thank you." He always made others smile and laugh.
Matthew is survived by his parents, Jeffrey and Lanette Barfuss; two older brothers, Erik and Tyler; and one older sister, Morgan. His family will miss him dearly and will look forward to seeing him again. His memory will also be cherished by his grandparents, Val and Darlene Barfuss of Middleton, and Ron and Jeanne Ashcraft of Nampa; and his aunts, uncles and cousins.
