and Mr Ernest Burdick of Friendship were married Jan. 28, a t the home of the bride at West Clarksville, by Rev. J. K. Lewis.
Their children were: Bessie E (1922) Dailey, Philip G (1924-) (he weighted 10 lbs at birth (Cuba Patriot 1924), Philome H (1930-) (Margaret R Seal Burdick), Merritt E (1932-) (Clara) and Esther N (1938-) (John) Cook.
Ernest worked at the A.F. Childs Farm. Mary his wife was often ill and her mother would come to take care of her. There were many articles in the Cuba Patriot and Free Press, concening her illnesses or care after a child.

Ernest S. Burdick
Ernest S. Burdick, 81, of RD 1, Belmont, died Friday, July 27, 1979 at Cuba Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
Born Nov. 20, 1897, at Gaines Pa., he was a son of Merritt E and Dora Mighell Burdick. On Jan, 28 1920 in West Clarksvillem he married the former Mary Deniston, who predeceased him on Feb. 20, 1957.
Mr. Burdick lived most of his life in the Friendship area and owned and operated a dairy fram in Inavale.
He attended the Scio Church of Christ, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are two daughters Mrs Bessie Dailey of Norman Ikla., and Mrs. Esther Cook of Eldred, Pa., three sons Philip Burdick of Belmont, with whom he resided since 1975, and Merritt Burdick of Wellsville: 18 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and two great-great grand children; a sister Mrs Susan Gilliland of Bolivar; two brothers, Everitt Burdick of Belmont and William Burdick of Wellsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 30, 1979 at the Davis Funeral Home, Friendship. The Rev Ernest Wilson, Paster of the Scio Church of Christ officiated. Burial is in Demmick Cemetery town of Wirt.
