Coomer, Johathan, Genesee County. Enlisted in company G, Engineers and Mechanics, Oct. 26, 1861, at Richfield, for 3 years, age 38. Mustered Oct. 29, 1861. Paroled prisoner at Louisville, Ky., Oct 13, 1862. Discharged at expiration of term of service at Atlanta, Ga., Oct 31 1864. Present residence, Detroit, Mich.

In 1849 Johnathan married Roselynda Hill and they had 6 children. At some point they were divorced. She died in 1916.

Johnathan's mother was Betsey Cole Coomer who died in 1870 in Jackson County, Michigan. Unable to located.
