SALISBURY, Philip S. Sr. age 65 of Lewisburg, OH and formerly of the Dayton area since 1961 died Thursday, February 23, 2006 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, OH. He was born March 29, 1940 in Charleston, WV to Beulah Salisbury and the late Ernest Salisbury. He graduated in 1958 from the Boyd County, Kentucky High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was retired from Delphi, Dayton, OH after 33 years of employment and was an avid car lover and restorer. He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Philip S. and Sherrie Salisbury, Jr. of Eaton, OH; daughter and son-in-law Sheila A. and Don Wennan of Dayton, OH; son and daughter-in-law Dwaine E. and Joyce Salisbury of Springboro, OH; grandchildren Kimberly Salisbury, Keila Salisbury, Jared Stump, Tiffani Salisbury, Edward Salisbury and Rachael Salisbury; great granddaughter Autumn Salisbury; sister Emma Bell Blankenship of Russell, KY; nephews Keith Blankenship of Russell,KY and Kevin Blankenship of Richmond, KY.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, February 27, 2006 at the Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, OH with Pastors Daryl Messer and Darrell Rose officiating. Burial will be in Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria, OH with military honors being conducted by the Preble County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends 2:30 - 5:30 P.M., Sunday, February 26 at the funeral home.
The family has requested memorial contributions be made to Leukemia Society of America, Southern Ohio Chapter, 100 Merchant Street, Suite 280,Cincinnati, OH 45246.
