Obituary - Jack C. Gillette, 66, an engineer who spent many years in federal service, died Saturday in Tucson.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. today at Christ the King Episcopal Church.

Gillette was born in Montana, and moved to Arizona as a youngster. He graduated from Globe High School and attended the University of Arizona.

He served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during World War II. After the war, he received a degree in civil engineering from the University of Wyoming. He operated his own construction business in Casa Grande until 1950, when he entered federal service as an engineer. He was chief of the engineering division of the Air Force in Europe, and from 1964 to 1967 served with the Agency for International Development in Bolivia and the Dominican Republic.

Survivors include his wife, Leila, a son, Robert, and a granddaughter, Catron, all of Tucson; a brother, Leslie, also of Tucson; and a sister, Mrs. Richard High, of Boise, Idaho. The family requests that any memorial contributions be made to the University of Arizona College of Engineering.
