Hugh Lee's Father, James Lee and Mother, Isabella Boscawen and his 4 brothers and 2 sisters died in the shipwreck "Faithful Steward" on September 1, 1785, Cape Henlopen off the coast of Delaware while immigrating from Ireland to the United States.

In addition to Jane (Lee) Elliott (1766-1835), Hugh & Mary (Elliott) Lee had the following children: William Lee born 1767, John Lee born 1770, Hugh Lee born 1773, Robert Lee born 13 November 1776 in Donegal, Ireland and died 12 May 1861 in Ohio, Eleanor Lee born 1780, Anne Lee born 1786 and James Lee born 1791. (Information regarding additional children from John Cook, 4g grandson of Hugh I. Lee and Mary E. (Elliot) Lee)
