HAPPY MARRIAGE
Special to the State.

Branchville. April 19. - A merry party left Columbia on the 18th for Branchville to witness the marriage of Mr. Adam D. Dubard, a progressive and popular young farmer of Upper Richland to Miss Maggie J. Fairey, one of Branchville's most charming young ladies, daughter of Mr. W. J. Fairey, planter and president of the Bank of Branchville. The party, consisting of the prospective goom, with Messrs. W. Hampton Stack, "best man," W. Dozier Sligh, L. Chappell and Miss Mamie Dubard, sister of the groom, were met by friends at the depot and conveyed to the lovely residence of Mr. W. J. Fairey.

Here at 8 o'clock, p.m., the happy pair were united in the holy bonds of wedlock by Rev. B. M. Grier. The attendants were: Judge W. Hampton Stack with Miss Rosa Fairey, sister of the bride; Mr. A. M. Whetstone with Miss Mamie Dubard, sister of the groom; Mr. L. Chappell with Miss Nelle Minue; Mr. W. Dozier Sligh with Miss Josie Council.

The bride was charmingly dressed in white silk en traine, tulle veil, orange blossoms and diamonds, carrying a lovely cluster of white flowers. Miss Rosa Fairey wore white nun's veiling, pearls and natural flowers; Miss Mamie Dubard, cream albatross, rubies and natural flowers; Miss Nellie Minus, white albatross, pearls and natural flowers; Miss Josie Council, cream albatross, diamonds and natural flowers.

At the appropriate hour the guests were ushered into a spacious dining room to partake of the delivious viands temptingly displayed there, every one doing full justice to the bountiful supply.

The happy couple were the recipients of many useful and costly presents. Mr. and Mrs. Dubard will make their home near Bookman, S. C. They have the best wishes of their friends for a long life of uninterrupted happiness.
