John Horton Teetor was a Civil War Veteran. He was a farmer. And great father to his children, great husband to his wife, Julia Angeline Lenox Teeter. He is at the, Teeter cemetery, Evergreen, New Albany R.D., cemetery is on his farm. John enlisted in Co K,97th Pa Infantry on: March 1,1865, he mustered out: Aug 28,1865. He was also a stone mason. He had a peddler's license and had his own store with a wagon. Pa death certificate # 35060, father: Charles Henry Teetor, born Wilkes-Barre, Pa- Mother: Celinda Lee Teetor, born: Albany Twp, Bradford, Pa. Being a stone mason, he laid all the stone walls at his farm and for his barn. The cemetery started out as the Lee cemetery as Williams and Elizabeth Lindsley Lee were the 1st people buried there. When Celinda Lee married Charles Teetor their family changed it to the Teetor cemetery.
