School Teacher Dead of Appendicitis
Great Falls, Sept. 2 - Miss Mary Louise Bennett, 21, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bennett of Seventh street north, died at Columbus hospital thie forenoon from the effects of an exceedingly violent attack of appendicitis. Death was sudden. Miss Bennett was taken ill on Saturday. Her condition became so suddenly serious that she was taken to the hospital on Monday evening in preparation for an operation, which was performed yesterday, but which did not avail. The sufferer died this forenoon.
Miss Bennett was one of the most prominent public school teachers of the county. She was a graduate of the State Normal School at Dillon, and possessed a state life diploma, which was secured by her last June.
She was born in Grand Forks, N.Dak., on Aug 29, 1882. For the past 12 years she had resided with her parents at Neihart, removing to this city last spring. She leaves a father, a mother, two brothers and two sisters.
The funeral will take place at the family residence tomorrow afternoon. Services will be held in St. Ann's Catholic church at 2:30 o'clock. Interment in Calvary cemetery.
