Rosary for Concetta Sbriglia, 85, a longtime Reno area resident,will be said at 7:30 tonight in the Ross-Burke & Knobel Mortuary. Requiem Mass will be said at 9:30 a.m. Friday in St. Thomas Aquinas Cathedral with burial in the Mountain View Cemetery.
She died Tuesday in a West Sacramento rest home. Born May 15, 1886, in Italy, she moved with her family when she was 9 years old to Crockett, California where she attended schools. She married Frank Sbriglia in 1903 and moved to Nevada two years later.
Her husband was a stone mason in Reno for many years. He died in 1953.
Mrs. Sbriglia had been a member of the American Legion in Reno, the Eagles Lodge and had belonged to St. Aquinas Cathedral. She had been living in West Sacramento for the past two years.
Survivors include daughters Louise Morse and Mary Rivas, both of Sacramento, Violet R. Sharpe of West Sacramento, and Josephine Phenix of Reno; sons Frank, Tony and Julio Sbriglia, all of Reno, 20 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
