Son of Frederick William Bryner, II and Sophie C. Gillespie Bryner.

Frederick, who lived at 524 East Fourth Street, Wilmington, Delaware, served as a Private First Class, 157th Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He enlisted in the Army on December 22, 1943 in Camden, New Jersey and was noted as Single, with dependents.

He was "Killed In Action" while fighting in Southern France.

He served in the Army for nine months and was decorated with the Purple Heart.
