David, who resided at 103 Hawley Street, Wilmington, Delaware, served as a First Sergeant with the 536th Anti-Aircraft Division, U.S. Army during World War II.
He enlisted in the Army on September 11, 1939, prior to the war, in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
He was "Killed In Action" on the Gothic Line near Rome, Italy. He had served in the Army for about six years at the time of his death.
He was decorated with the Purple Heart.
