Mrs. Blanche Woodiwiss, 73, died Thursday night at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage Iowa. She had been ill with cancer for 6 months.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2pm at the Champion Funeral Home in Osage. The Rev. E.E. Pencook will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetary at Mitchell Iowa.
Born Dec. 14, 1888 at Waupun Wisconsin, the daughter of Edwin and Myrtle Simpson. She was married to Edwin Woodiwiss Dec. 6, 1910. They farmed in Wisconsin and Mitchell County and retired to Osage inn 1946. He died in 1957.
Surviving are three sons, Edwin Jr., Napa California; Kenneth of Pontiac Michigan; Capt. Ross Woodiwiss with the Air Force in Japan. Four daughters, Mrs. Franklin (Vivian) Guenther of Oak Field Wisconsin; Mrs. Arthur (Dorothy) Willard, of Alaska; Mrs. Marvin (Rosalie) Braend of Mason City; Mrs. Lyle (Darlene) Anhorn of Osage; 24 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two sisters.
