Lloyd D. Lee, 79, of Port Charlotte, Fla. and formerly of Ohiopyle, Pa., passed away November 8, 2007, in Peace River Regional Medical Center.
He was born November 29, 1927, at Ohiopyle, Pa., son of the late Joseph Richard and Mary Elizabeth Rohlf Lee.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a sister, Margaret Lee and three brothers, Rev. Raymond Lee, Frederick Lee and Donald Lee.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 54 years, Janet Livengood Lee; a daughter, Linda Mack and husband Timothy; two sons, Lloyd "Dale" Lee and wife Deborah, Larry Dale Lee and wife Tina; a special granddaughter who was raised by them, Jessica Lee Gragg and husband Chad; a sister, Lois Leonard and husband Lawrence; three sisters-in-law, Alvertia Lee, Wanetta Lee and Hazel Lee; eight granddaughters and three grandsons.
Lloyd served in the Korean Conflict.
He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Waynesburg College and his Masters Degree from West Virginia University. He was a teacher at Ohiopyle Elementary School and became head teacher until his retirement. He then became a stock market investor.
Lloyd and his wife Janet moved from Ohiopyle to Port Charlotte 24 years ago.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 until 11 a.m. the hour of service with the Rev. Kenneth VanSickle officiating. Interment will follow in Irwin Memorial Cemetery, Ohiopyle.
