NICHOLAS, MISS ELIZABETH M., 89, a resident of the Mary M. Olin Clinic, Florida, died April 4, 1976.
She was born in Pennsylvania on Nov. 12, 1886.
She was a retired school teacher, having taught for 42 years in Pennsylvania, most of the time in senior high schools.
She taught English in the Old Brownsville High School, retiring in 1951.
She was graduated from West Chester State Normal and later received Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education from the University of Pittsburgh.
She was an active member of the Lutheran Church in various communities in which she taught. She became president of P.R.C. (Penney Retirement Community) in Feb. 1956 and transferred her church membership to Faith Lutheran Church in Jacksonville, Fl. She was an associated member of the Penney Memorial Church and took a special interest in the Women's Guild and the WCTU. She was a charter member of the Clinic Benefit Society.
She is survived by her brother, the Rev. JACOB NICHOLAS, a resident of the Penney Retirement Community, Penney Farms, Fl.
A graveside service was held in the P. R. C. Cemetery on April 9.
