Maxine a.k.a. "Max" was a female calico that my family and I had for 10 great years. Max originally didn't belong to us, but to our next door neighbors. Sadly, her old owners abused her (knocked out a few of her teeth) so she found a new home with my family. When we moved across town to the house my parents live in now, we took Max with us.
Max was a very skitterish cat who only showed herself to my parents, brother, a few of his friends and a few of mine. She still loved getting attention from either one in the family. You could say that this cat was horribly spoiled, but I think she deserved her spoiled life compared to the other life she was living.
Max loved to lightly tap on your bedroom door to ackowledge her prescence and to let us know she wanted in. She wouldn't stop tapping/clawing at the door until you opened it. She was the sweetest cat I've ever had and still miss her to this day.
Max had to be put down on March 13th, 2009, due to Lymphoma.
