Mrs. Eliza J. Kesterson died at her home Friday night, January 30 1931, She was born to James Chambers Dunn & his second wife Sarah Malone August 8, 1871 near Knoxville. She had been ill some time with heart trouble.
She was a member of the New Hope Church and lived a devoted christian and was loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed in the community. She leaves to mourn her death two brothers, J.M. Dunn of Knoxville, John Dunn of Cincinnati, Ohio: One sister Julia Francis of Knoxville. Also five children, Sam Kesterson, Mrs. Ethel White and Mrs. Cora Smith of Robertsville, Mrs. Minnie Hudson of Cotula and Mrs. Nola Seivers of Habeshan, Tennessee, and several grandchildren. She was burried at New Hope Sunday.
Eliza Jane's mother was struck by lightning and killed. Eliza was only 12 at the time so she moved in with her sister Harriett. She had a very rough life from that point on. (R.P.C.)
