Edward C. Beagle
Edward C. "Ed" Beagle, 75, of Parkersburg died May 1, 2004, at St. Joseph's Hospital.
He was born in Ritchie County, a son of the late Barnes B. and Amanda Fay Ingram Beagle. He retired in 1988 after 40 years as a heavy equipment operator with Hope Gas Co. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean conflict. He was a member of Broadway Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Isabelle "Izzy" Geer Beagle; a brother, Dennis Beagle and his wife, Betty, of Clendenin, W.Va.; a niece, Cathy Kelley and her husband, Tom, of Parkersburg; a great-niece, Amy Kelley Taylor and her husband, Steve; a great-nephew, Tom Kelley Jr. and his wife, Ruth; and several other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Sanford and Eugene Beagle, both of Kentucky.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Bill Snider officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
