Obituary: SANFORD - Fedora E. Charette, 92, of 4 Lebanon St., and a longtime resident of Brook Street, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 1997 at the home of her sister, Simone Bergeron, at 52 Cottage St. following a short illness. She was born in St. Nobert, P.Q. on Aug. 31, 1905, a daughter of Napoleon and Anne Becotte Roux. She attended school in Canada. Mrs. Charette moved to the US in 1922. She was employed for a short time at the former Goodall-Sanford Textile Mills until they closed in 1954. She later worked as a stitcher for the former Allied Shoe & Novelty Co. of Spri ngvale for over 40 years. She was a communicant of St. Ignatius Church and was a member of the Ladies of Ste. Anne. Her husband, Emile F. Charette, died in 1991. Survivors include three sisters, Rosilda Letourneau and Simone Bergeron, both of Sanford, and Bernadette Brouillard of Biddeford; several nieces and nephews. Burial will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery in the spring.
