Edward Kane was born September 27, 1916 to Vham and Mary Kachadoorian, who came to America from Armenia in the early 1900s. The eldest of three sons, Eddie joined the military and met the love of his life, Goldia Mae Tinney, at a USO dance at Camp Gruber in Oklahoma. They were married December 11, 1943 and she preceded him in death on Sept. 2, 2002.
Eddie was an owner/operator of a residential and commercial construction business for 20 years. He is survived by one brother, William Kachadoorian and his wife Betty.
A memorial service was held at Stephens & Bean Chapel in Fresno on August 24th. Remembrances may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Charities of Fresno, Inc., 701 VanNess Ave., Fresno, CA 93721.
