Edward died from Pneumonia.
(suggested by Shirley Going)
My name is Delonda Robinson. My husband is Lewis Robinson.
Sallie Robinson, who is buried in the Methodist Church Cemetery, Glendale, Illinois, is my husband's Great Grandmother. Her date of death is listed wrong. She died in 1907, not 1897. If you will look closely at the tombstone, you will see that it is 1907. She was alive in the Pope County, Illinois, census of 1900.
Also, her husband, Edward C. (Ned) Robinson, is not buried beside her in that cemetery. He was buried on the farm land where they lived (in Pope County, IL) at the time of his death in 1863.
The family story that has been passed down in the family is that Ned's grave site was on farm ground and many years ago was plowed over and the site lost. This was related to my husband by several of Ned's grandchildren when we started doing family research years ago.
I am a member of Daniel Chapman DAR Chapter, Vienna, Illinois. I am presently the Chapter Regent.
(The above info copied from Sarah "Sallie" Robinson's memorial page. It was given to her memorial by Delonda and I was excited to learn the information about where Ned is resting.)
