HAROLD P. ESTES
Harold P. Estes, 74, World War I Veteran, died Saturday at the Vermont Soldiers' Home, where he had been a resident for about three years.
Mr. Estes was born in Hoosick Falls, N.Y., Jan 25, 1890, son of Harvey K. and Anis (Bickford) Estes. He had attended Hoosick Falls schools.
For many years he had been associated with his father in the painting contracting business. They had also operated a wallpaper and paint store on Main Street.
He married the former Mary Ward who died in Bennington, April 11, 1960.
Survivors include one son, Harold A. Estes of Jacksonville, Fla., and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at Mahar & Son Funeral Home at 2 pm Tuesday. Burial will be in the Estes family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
