Arthur Davis died suddenly at his home on North Branch street Sunday about 12:15 am. Born at Clarksburg, Mass., Dec 16, 1892, he was 62 years old.
He had been employed at Thurber's Garage for several years and also Draper Corp. His last place of employment was for Marcus J. Burrington firm.
Well known in the community he had enjoyed baseball, wrestling and horse racing. He was a Veteran of World War I. He married the former Alice Bushee, who died Oct 1, 1951.
Survivors are his father, Charles Davis of Searsburg; one stepson, Alfred Bushee of Danby; three sisters, Mrs. William (Sarah) Frazier, Mrs. Margaret Becker, Mrs. Fred (Gladys) Harrington of Bennington; four brothers, Daniel David of Woodford, Ernest Davis of West Ludlow, N.Y.; Cassius Davis and Howard Davis of Searsburg; two grandchildren, Gordon and Kenneth Bushee; also nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be held from Mahar Funeral Home tomorrow at 2 pm. The Rev. Earle Forman of the Church of God will officiate. Burial will be in the Aldridge cemetery, Clarksburg.
