Fred Bushee, 79, a native and life-long resident of Manchester, and an Army Veteran of the First World War, died Thursday at Rutland Hospital.
The Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered Saturday morning at 10 at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church in Manchester Center. A prayer service at 9:30 at the Brewster Funeral Home will precede the funeral Mass. Entombment will be in Factory Point Cemetery receiving vault, with burial at a later date to be in St. Columban's Cemetery in Arlington.
He was born April 8, 1894, a son of George and Mary (Bruso) Bushee, received his education in the schools of Manchester and was a life-long communicant of St. Paul's Church. He belonged to the American Legion Post 38 and Mt. Equinox Grange of Manchester. He is survived by a brother, Frank, of Manchester, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Markey, also of Manchester, and Mrs. Lena Diotte of Georgetown, Conn.; nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Wake service and recitation of the Rosary will be tonight at 8. Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund of St. Paul's Church in care of the funeral home.
